Jim has more than 20 years experience assisting healthcare providers with reimbursement and regulatory solutions. His technical expertise has gained national recognition with the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Office of Inspector General and various Medicaid programs. Jim has held senior leadership positions with national and regional accounting firms. He has also been the managing practice leader for a national consulting firm. Prior to Bay Area Healthcare Advisors, Jim served as a Principal for a regional CPA firm. Jim attended Temple University from 1984 through 1989 where he majored in accounting.

Dr. Husty is a fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians. He serves and assists Bay Area Healthcare Advisors, LLC based upon specialized projects requiring expert opinions of medical necessity. Dr. Husty is licensed in Florida and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. His practice involves Primary/Acute Care/Emergency Medicine. He attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and attended medical school at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. His expertise is utilized for our compliance audits concerning medical necessity issues and medical treatment requirements in all areas of hospital inpatient and outpatient services.
